Leo and Rosa were playing in the garden. It rained last night.
Look at all this mud! said Leo. Let's make a mud pie!
They scooped wet mud into a bucket and patted it down flat.
Rosa put leaves on top. These are the decorations, she said.
Leo added small stones around the edge. Now it looks fancy!
They left it in the sun to dry. Mom came outside to look.
What a beautiful pie! said Mom. Is it for me? Yes! they said.
Mom pretended to eat it. Delicious! Best mud pie I have ever had!
