In a land of tall, rocky mountains lived a little dragon named Sparky. Sparky was a bright red dragon with little, green wings. He was very happy, but he had one big problem. All the other dragons could breathe fire. His father would roar and breathe a big, hot, fiery flame. 'ROAR! WHOOSH!' But when Sparky tried, he would take a big, deep breath, puff out his little chest, and... 'Pffft-bubble-bubble!' Pretty, soapy bubbles would float out of his nose. They were beautiful, but they were not hot.
The other, bigger dragons would laugh at him. 'You cannot be a real dragon!' they would tease. 'Dragons are supposed to be scary! You breathe bubbles! That is so silly!' This made Sparky feel very, very sad. He did not feel big or strong. He just felt silly. 'I wish I could breathe fire,' he would whisper to himself, watching his pretty bubbles pop. He flew off to a gloomy, grey valley where all the flowers were sad. 'I am not a good dragon,' he thought.
This gloomy valley was very dirty. It was covered in grey soot and grime. The leaves on the trees were grey. The little flowers were grey. A sad little rabbit hopped by, his fur all dirty. 'It is always so dirty here,' the rabbit coughed. 'We miss the bright, green leaves and the colorful, happy flowers.' Sparky looked at all the grime. Then he looked at his bubbles. He had a wonderful, special idea. He took the biggest, deepest breath of his whole life. 'Pffft-bubble-bubble-POP!'
He flew all over the valley, breathing his pretty, soapy bubbles everywhere! The magic, soapy bubbles landed on the dirty leaves and the grey flowers. 'Pop! Pop! Pop!' The bubbles washed away all the dark, grey soot and grime. A little rain cloud came by and rinsed everything clean. The valley was beautiful again! The leaves were bright green, and the flowers were bright red and yellow. All the animals cheered! 'Hooray for Sparky!' Sparky was a hero! He learned that his special gift was not for being scary. His special gift was for making the world a clean, happy, and beautiful place.
