After a huge rainstorm, there was a puddle as big as a pond at the end of the street.
Three kids stood at the edge looking at it. No one wanted to go first.
I dare you, said Will to his friend Dee. Dee shook her head.
Then the youngest, a boy named Sam, ran straight into the middle. SPLASH!
Water flew everywhere. Sam stood knee-deep, laughing with his arms out wide.
See? It is great! Come in! Dee and Will looked at each other and jumped in.
They splashed and stomped until they were completely soaked from head to toe.
All three walked home dripping wet, still laughing. Their parents were not as amused.
