Every Sunday, Noah and his sister went to Grandma's house. The whole house smelled like cinnamon.

Grandma was always in the kitchen. Her apron was covered in little blue flowers.

What are we making today? Noah asked. He loved this question.

Today we make bread! said Grandma. She poured flour into a big bowl.

Noah helped knead the dough. It was soft and warm under his hands.

They shaped it into two loaves and put them in the oven to bake.

An hour later, the bread was golden and crusty. They ate it with butter while it was still warm.

Noah ate two thick slices and licked his fingers. This is the best bread in the world, he said.
