Up in the high, blue sky, lived a little, white cloud named Fluffy. Fluffy was a very happy and puffy cloud. But he was very different from the other clouds. The big, important storm clouds were gray and grumpy. They would rumble, 'We make rain! We are very important. We water the trees and the flowers.' But Fluffy did not make rain. When Fluffy got full, he did not rain water. He rained... jelly beans! Red ones, green ones, yellow ones, and purple ones. They were sweet and yummy.

The big, grumpy storm clouds would rumble and make fun of Fluffy. 'Jelly beans are silly!' they would thunder. 'You are not a real cloud! You are not important like us.' This made Fluffy feel very, very sad. He would drift away by himself and try to hold in his colorful, sweet rain. He wished he could be a 'real' cloud. He wished he could make boring, gray rain. He felt very small and not important at all.

One sunny afternoon, all the children in the town of Sunnyville were getting ready for their big town picnic. They had blankets and baskets and balls to play with. 'Hooray for the picnic!' they shouted. But just as they laid out their blankets, the big, grumpy storm clouds rolled in. 'We are here!' they rumbled. And they started to rain. Drip, drop, drip. The rain was cold and wet. 'Oh no!' cried all the children. 'Our picnic is ruined!' They all looked so sad as they started to pack up their baskets.

Fluffy, the little jelly bean cloud, saw the sad children. He knew he was not a 'real' cloud, but he wanted to help. He took a deep, deep breath, puffed himself up as big as he could, and floated right over the town. 'Here I go!' he thought. And he let it all out! It did not just rain. It poured! Red, green, yellow, and purple jelly beans! The children stopped. They looked up. 'It's raining jelly beans!' one shouted. 'Hooray!' They all laughed and ran around, catching the sweet treats in their hands. The picnic was saved! Fluffy learned that being different was not just okay. It was wonderful!
