Timmy was a little boy who was learning to be a big, important wizard. He had a pointy blue hat and a magic wand made from a twisty branch. He was very good at his lessons. He could turn his teacher's tea into soup. He could make his shoes hop and dance. But Timmy had one big, silly problem. He could not be serious. Whenever he tried to do a really big, really important magic spell, he would get a tickle in his nose. And the tickle would turn into a... 'Hee-hee... giggle-snort!' A big giggle would pop out.
His teacher was a very serious, grumpy badger named Professor Grumbles. 'Wizards are serious!' the badger would scold. 'There is no giggling in important magic, Timmy! You must be serious! You must be grumpy!' Timmy tried. He would try to think of grumpy things, like rain or mud. He would frown his biggest frown. He would stand up tall and say the magic words. 'Abraca... Ziggle... Pfft... HEE-HEE-HEE!' He just could not help it. He was not a grumpy wizard. He was a giggling wizard. 'I will never be a good wizard,' Timmy sighed sadly.
One day, a big, sad, grey cloud came and parked itself right over the village. It was a very gloomy cloud. It just sat there, blocking the warm, bright sun. All the flowers drooped. All the people felt sad and sleepy. 'This is a job for a wizard!' the townspeople said. Professor Grumbles tried his 'Cloud-Be-Gone' spell. 'Frown and Grumble, Cloud, Go Tumble!' he shouted. But the cloud just stayed. It was too sad.
Then, little Timmy stepped up. 'I will try!' he said. He looked at the big, sad, grey cloud. He pointed his twisty wand. 'Abraca... Ziggle...' He felt the tickle in his nose. 'Hee-hee... GIGGLE!' He could not stop it! A big, magical, sparkly giggle shot out of his wand and... it hit the sad cloud! The cloud started to wiggle. It jiggled. Then, the sad cloud started to giggle, too! It laughed so hard that it jiggled away to go play. The warm, bright sun came out! Everyone cheered! Timmy learned that you do not have to be grumpy to be a great wizard. Sometimes, a happy giggle is the most powerful magic of all.
